About this item
- Long and slender red rice from South India. Red rice is similar to brown rice and is considered to be healthier than regular white rice.
- PREMIUM & CERTIFIED ORGANIC FROM INDIA - Our Jiva Organic Red Rice from India is grown on certified organic farms.
- NON GMO & PESTICIDE FREE - Our organic red rice is grown without the use of any harmful extras and is also Non-GMO
- Red rice is traditionally double cooked. First, wash the rice and soak a minimum of 4 hours or overnight. Then drain and and simmer with 4 to 8 parts water for 30 min. Cover and and leave for 15-20 minutes. Add salt per taste and boil for another 15-20 min or until cooked. It is finally drained and left covered for a further 10-15 minutes before serving.
- VACUUM PACKED - We are so careful in maintaining the purity of this red rice that we vacuum pack each bag to ensure its purity.
